The founder of Atayal Resort, Mr. Kao Ai-De,
has been Nantou County Representative for four times.
He is the survivor of Wushe Incident. Kao Ai-De, born in 1916 in Gungu,
is the direct offspring of the leader of Gungu. The first book describing Wushe Incident,
"The Testimony of Wushe Incident from Awi Hepah," was dictated by Kao Ai-De,
edited by Professor Hsu Chei-Ling, translated by Lin Dao-Shen,
is the history testimony in first person by Tgdaya Tribe. The founding of Atayal Resort has the meaning of preserving Atayal relics and Wushe Incident besides he loved Atayal Culture as an Atayal.
Seediq has become an independent tribe from Atayal.


The founder of the Resort is the participant of Atayal Tribe in Wushe Incident in 1921 (Showa 5 Years)
(Educated youth and hero of fighting Japanese Hanaoka Jiro was his brother-in-law).
13 of his ancestors were sacrificed in Wushe Incident. This definitely has its time meaning.
Atayal Resort is located in Chingliu Tribe (Kawanakajima), the historical site of Wushe Incident.
It has strong regional connection.

Mr. Kao Ai-De is recognized by nationally and internationally as he showed gratitude to the bravery of "Wushe Incident" and preserved Atayal culture, as well as published the first Wushe Incident book, "The Testimony of Wushe Incident from Awi Hepah.
" Recently, his book has been remade into movie "Seedig Bale," causing a sensation. Some of the scenes described in the movie were located in Kawanakajima, the current location of Atayal Resort, Helping Village. Moreover,
the body of Mona Rudo, the leader of Wushe Incident, was taken back to Wushe by Mr.
Kao and local people. In order to stir up the town's economical development and employment opportunity,
as well as bring an environment for tourists to relax their body and mind, Atayal Resort was founded.

Atayal Resort started constructing in 1987 and operating in 1992. It has an area of 47 hectors as an international spring resort with wild amusement, abundant nature ecology, and spring facilities. The main operation directions are:
(1) Amusement park: small trains, music carriages, and many more, and a nature ecological education park;
(2) Hotel accommodation: Atayal Palace, resort cabins, open springs facilities,
conference rooms, KTV, Chinese restaurants, and motor camping area. It is a resort with multiple functions.

Atayal Resort is operated by Ron Kao Amusement Co., Ltd. It is located in the boundary of Renai Township and Kuohsin Township of Nantou County where it is famous for the natural scenery.
With abundant natural ecological resources, excellent climate, and complete mountains and waters,
it is a best environment for relax.

In responding to the policy that the government encourages private sectors to develop recreational business,
we provide 47 hectors of land and scenery to the public as a best recreational location. In order to keep the aboriginal touch to the park, the project was planned to cope with the features of the mountain tribes and first recruit the aboriginal people live in the neighboring tribes, which, in one hand, can increase the mountain feature of the park, and in the other hand, protect the living and employment opportunity of the aboriginal people, increasing their living standard and bring economic drive to local.

On the other hand, as prosperous as today's economical activities, the living standard of average people has been increased. With high living standard, recreational activities have become the living center of life. Plus,
the urban areas of Taiwan are over-populated with serious pollution and working pressure,
recreational facilities in the urban areas can no longer satisfy the needs of the working people,
who need quiet wild land and nature to relax their tense body and mind to boost up their energy.

In recent years, a trend of excellent ecological tour starts internationally. People pay more attention to environmental protection. The Resort has diverse animal, plant, and insect ecological system and Atayal and Seediq cultures. With the professional tour and explanation by the volunteers, the Resort has its advantages in operating to provide an excellent place for family vacation and school field trips.

Visitors and Atayal Resort Operator (hereinafter called operator)
agree to abide by the following rules:

  1. The operator should state the opening hours, fares, service items, park tour or facilities, and amusement tax in the brochure, tickets, or by announcement.
  2. The visitors should present the ticket for entering into the resort and keep the ticket. The operator is not liable for reissuing lost tickets.
  3. When the visitors using the facilities or having fun, if the visitors violate the instructions, stop signs, or the instruction of the operator, the operator is not liable for the compensation unless it lacks of good operator responsibilities.
  4. For reasons which can attribute to the operator and cause the services stipulated in this agreement cannot be provided, the visitors may terminate the agreement and ask for a refund. If the visitors suffer from damages and harms, the visitors may ask for compensation. For reasons that cannot attribute to the operator, the operator should return the collected fees.
  5. For reasons which can attribute to the operator and cause parts of the services (some facilities or shows) stipulated in this agreement cannot be provided, the operator should return part of the fees pro rata to the services not provided and the time entering the resort. If the visitors suffer from damages and harms, the visitors may ask for compensation. For reasons that cannot attribute to the operator, the operator should return the collected fees pro rata to the services not provided and the time entering the resort.
  6. The visitors cannot ask for a refund if the visitors leave the resort due to personal reasons or cannot accept the services provided by the agreement.
  7. The operator should assist with rescue or medication if the visitors have disease outbreak or accidents.
  8. The unfinished matters of the agreement should follow the related laws and regulations.
